Who are the Webb Vanguards?
The Webb Foundation is comprised of families and individuals who strive to be beautiful creations themselves as they strive to create a better world for all of us.
A community-based organization needs support from every member. Though we receive funds from several sources on a need basis, the Webb Foundation Vanguards are individuals who regularly contribute financially and provide much needed volunteer efforts.
Meet Some of Our Vanguards!
The Abdullah-Turners are one of our most beautiful families-literally! This statuesque family has a heart of gold and always steps up to serve local struggling or refugee families and elders in our community, as well as any other community member who need help. Joy is a tireless Webb volunteer, Ebon and Amira are the dynamic,intellectual father-daughter student team of our Webb Adult programming, and Noah and Mansurr are young gentlemen leaders of the Webb Youth program.
The Arroyos have been Webbies since the very beginning! Edmund is a youth educator and Humaira is our adult education coordinator. Samar is one of our most promising future leaders and when Zayn Al-Abideen came along, the community was blessed!
The Aziz/Saeed family are committed Webb champions! One of their favorite events is the Annual Y-Me Breast Cancer Walk/Run and they have made it their Mother's Day tradition to join us every year. Amina and Hammad are amazing community activists and their children, Aneesa, Adam and Hamza, are deep thinkers in the Webb Youth programs.
The Hussains are our international Vanguards! Faiyaz and Mahrukh work at multi-national firms and are currently living in Switzerland with their two sons. Ammar is experiencing French immersion at a Swiss international school and Nabeel is in pre-school at a chalet. The view of the Alps from their front window is amazing but we hope to have them back on the prairie of the Midwest soon!
The Shoshara/Shakir family is headed by the dynamic duo of Jihad and Sofia. Jihad is the passionate promoter of the Annual Turkey Drive for needy Chicago families and Sofia is a Webb Trustee. Their beautiful Webb children are Asad, Jinann, and Malek. They are all participants of the Webb Youth Sunday Programming.
The Weddle/ElShafie family- Judy, Sara and Osama – discovered the Webb Foundation just two years ago, and are happy to have found such a dynamic and creative organization through which they can share their faith, and develop new relationships. All three of them are participants of the Webb Sunday Adult Learning Programming. They are happy to be benefitting from and supporting the Webb and its growing list of activities.
